Kgp Life >>
Last 5 years of my life have been the most important of them all. My stay at Kgp taught my zillions of things all of which i dare not enumerate. But, I would just say that there's a ton of difference between the 02CS3011 who joined IITKGP in July, 2002 to the Kumar Saurabh bidding adieu now. I can go on and on about time management, perseverence, team spirit, peace and masti, niteouts, last-minute-preps, tempo, enthu and what not that Kgp has instilled in me.... But, it would be much better to summarize all these facets of kgp life in one word as ATTITUDE. I know that this is one virtue for which I will remain indebted to my alma mater forever. I will miss the bright eyed batchmates exchanging hellos on the day of registration, July 22, 2002. I will miss the guy in the registration line behind me smiling furtively at my non-veg jokes, who later went on to become one of my best friends in Kgp. I will miss racing around frantically during the 1st yr treasure hunt.. and then organizing the same in the subsequent years. I will miss my first OP(read ragging :-) during my second year. I will miss the unbridled enthusiasm about just Anything .. the Open-IIT events, the inter-halls, khoj,Illumination, rangoli, hall day, elections...and the list goes on !I will miss the euphoria of being elected the G Sec soc n cult. I will miss conducting the OP in my 3rd Year (:D). I will miss my hall winning Rangoli Gold yet another time. I will miss the sub-committee battles. I will miss the countless number of happy moments that my hall has bestowed upon me. I will miss 90 degrees. I will miss the casual walks to bhasky's. I will miss hunting for food at 5:30 in the morning. I will miss giving/receiving GPLs for any possible reason :-) I will miss the "peace of life" offered at kgp, the only such place in the universe. I will miss the greatest and the bestest of friends I ever had. I will miss the magic of this sleepy village, known to all as Kharagpur.
I Will miss you Kgp... |
